About My Site!
I finished my creative writing degree in 2022 and since then I have written, give or take, fuck all. Though I cut my teeth on fanfiction as a teenager, I haven't really written any in a while, besides a few sillier things with friends for old times' sake. It's just not really what I'm interested in anymore, mostly because I used to write for exclusively at-most-middling media that allowed me to take characters and run with them and now I like things that are good instead of, say, a historical comedy anime with bafflingly fascist undertones.
That said, I do miss the process and structure that comes with fanfiction, and sending Google Docs to my friends' Discord server has a distinctly different vibe. I think it might help me to write more if I recreate an AO3 that does not have moderation issues on account of it being me in my house and also doesn't really have fanfic in there. That and now that I've finished uni I feel like whatever I write has to be My Debut Novel which is a horrible little mindset to make art in.
It might become more of a portfolio situation if and when I start trying to have a career or whatever but at the moment I've been finding it helpful to write dogshit porn just to get myself in the groove of writing without thinking too hard about plot and the like so I'd like to let it be a shitty little informal space where you can read my dogshit porn and I don't have to act like an employer will see it.
